COST covers all local costs and makes a contribution to travel costs

* Bus between Joensuu airport/train station and Nurmes on Tuesday 18.9. (17:30-) and  Friday 21.8. (07:30-)

** COST provides support of 400 € for domestic and 580 € for international trainees for accommodation and travel expenses, which can be claimed from COST after the workshop. Accommodation is in single (97 € /night) or double (127 € /night) rooms. 

Trainees pay accommodation directly to the hotel.

Goals of the Training School:

Protein-protein interactions are one of the main driving forces underlying all cellular processes and the knowledge of protein interfaces is the key to understanding cellular functions. Complementary to the classical methods of structural biology (X-ray crystallography,NMR spectroscopy and electron microscopy), cross-linking combined with mass spectrometry (MS) has developed into an alternative technique to obtain valuable information about the structure and dynamics of macromolecular assemblies in solution.

In this workshop, fundamentals of the cross-linking MS strategy will be introduced. Different cross-linking strategies using non-cleavable and MS- cleavable cross-linkers as well as in vivo cross-linking will be presented. Practical aspects of two complementary software tools (MeroX) and on modeling protein complexes based on cross-linking constraints will be taught. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptop computers!

HDX-MS Conference, 16-17 May 2017

On behalf of the organizing team, you are invited to the first International Conference on Hydrogen Deuterium Exchange Mass Spectrometry (IC HDX) to be held at AstraZeneca R&D, Gothenburg, Sweden 16-17 May 2017 (with a workshop on 15 May). This conference is aimed at anyone with an interest in using, developing and exploring applications of HDX-MS. The conference includes oral and poster presentations, including several confirmed talks from experts in the field. Suppliers will also be present, offering demos of lab equipment and software.

About the Workshop
